Although I have done licensing deals, I am not an licensing pro but I can tell you that using agents can be good and maybe not so good. I think that if you are afraid to make cold calls then finding a good agent may be the way to go but if you can overcome the cold call fear then learning how to "learn the pitch" and doing it yourself can be quite rewarding although still very challenging. Stephen Key, a mentor on this site, offers a great course on the basics of licensing and I encourage you to check it out....
