Is naming a product the same as branding a product? What makes it a brand, rather than just a name?

Well, a name is just a name until it starts to be identified with a product in the public eye.

So the short answer is all about popularity and exposure. Once the name of your product gets out in wide exposure it becomes a “brand”…… I mean technically it’s always a “Brand” but when no one knows about it, it sure feels more like a “name”
