Well Sally...As a manufacturer, and an American,I think we would always rather make things here in the US.
However, because of the regulations associated with the processes, and the high labor costs often it is not possible to both manufacture domestically and meet the prices the consumers are willing to pay.
That being said, obviously the biggest benefit to manufacturing off shore is cost. It’s simply cheaper to make off shore because of the lower material and labor rates.
I, like many, would prefer to keep those jobs here in North America.
