I have heard the term "Bread Board" used in engineering. What is it?

A bread board is a way to quickly and easily create a prototype of a electonic circuit. The bread board got it's name because it looks line a slice of Wonder bread. It's a white plastic board with a bunch of holes arrange in a grid.
The nice thing about a bread board is that you don't need to solder the connections. You can try different circuits and components over and over.
